Terms of Use

Purpose and acceptance

These terms of use govern access to and use of Les Merveilles De Manu, an editorial and community platform dedicated to laser crafting: machine guides, a comparator, lives and replays, a creations gallery, chat rooms and the Pétille assistant. Membership is free. By creating an account you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, you can still browse the public content without an account.

Member account

Registration is open to people aged 16 or over. Each person may hold only one account, created with accurate information; the e-mail address must be confirmed to activate the account. Your credentials are personal and confidential: you are responsible for what is done with your account and you must tell us promptly about any unauthorised use. You can delete your account at any time, from your profile or by e-mail: deletion is immediate, as described in the privacy policy.

Community rules and moderation

Chat rooms are moderated automatically before publication: every message is analysed by a filter that can prevent it from being posted; if the filter is unsure or unavailable, the message is not published. By default, messages are ephemeral and are not kept beyond the session; keeping a conversation's history is an option that requires the consent of every participant, and the retained history is encrypted. Creations submitted to the community gallery are reviewed by moderation before publication.

Prohibited content

The following are prohibited, among others:

• illegal, hateful, discriminatory or harassing content, or content that infringes the rights of others;
• spam, unsolicited advertising and impersonation;
• counterfeits and content infringing a third party's intellectual property;
• advice on unsafe laser machine modifications or on bypassing their safety devices;
• any use intended to disrupt the site or to circumvent its protections.

Penalties

Breaking these rules may lead, depending on severity, to a warning, removal of the content, suspension or deletion of the account. If an automatic measure or a sanction seems unjustified to you, write to us: a person will review the situation, as described in the privacy policy.

Your content

You keep ownership of the creations, photos and texts you submit. By publishing them on the site, you grant Les Merveilles De Manu a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display them on the platform — and nothing more: no resale, no commercial exploitation outside the site. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

Assisted orders and affiliation

Les Merveilles De Manu is not the seller of the machines and products presented. For an assisted order, Manu prepares a cart on the partner's site (xTool) and sends you its link: the purchase is concluded directly on the partner's platform, under the partner's own terms of sale, and xTool applies a 1% Squad discount to it. Some links are affiliate links: the partner then pays Les Merveilles De Manu a commission, as stated in the legal notice. Live demos with Manu are free and organised via the partner. Les Merveilles De Manu collects no payment for these services.

Shop

When Manu's creations are offered for sale in the shop, prices are shown in euros and payment is made online via Stripe. You have a 14-day right of withdrawal from receipt, except for personalised or made-to-measure creations (Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code). Pétille assistant

Pétille is an automated assistant powered by artificial intelligence: it can make mistakes. Its recommendations are suggestions only and are neither professional advice nor a guarantee. Your conversations are handled as described in the privacy policy. Safety: using a laser machine requires following the manufacturer's instructions; the site's content is educational and does not replace official manuals.

Availability and liability

The site is provided "as is" on a best-effort basis: permanent availability is not guaranteed, and interruptions may occur for maintenance or any other reason. The liability of Les Merveilles De Manu is limited to the extent permitted by French law; nothing in these terms excludes mandatory legal warranties. You remain solely responsible for the use of your own equipment and for carrying out the projects presented.

Intellectual property

The site's content (text, images, videos) is protected and remains the property of Les Merveilles De Manu unless otherwise stated. Cited brands (including xTool) belong to their respective owners. Any unauthorised reproduction is prohibited.

Changes to these terms

These terms may evolve with the site. In the event of a material change, members are informed (site notification or e-mail) before the new version takes effect. The last-updated date is shown at the top of this page.

Applicable law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, contact us first at contact@lesmerveillesdemanu.fr: most situations are resolved amicably. For a consumer dispute about a purchase made in the shop, you may use a consumer mediator free of charge (Articles L611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code). For anything concerning your personal data, the privacy policy describes your rights and how to lodge a complaint with the CNIL. Failing amicable resolution, the French courts have jurisdiction under ordinary rules.
