Data Collected
Data collected: email address (registration), pseudonymised browsing data — tied to a session identifier, not to your name (analytics), conversations with Pétille (opt-out available).

Purposes: improving user experience, personalising recommendations, community engagement tracking.

Retention Period
Retention period: only one age-based automatic purge is in place today, the one covering audit logs. Everything else is kept for as long as the account, the room or the session exists, and is erased when you ask for it. This table describes what the site actually does, not what it plans to do.

| Analytics events | No time limit is applied today: these events are neither deleted nor anonymised automatically. They are pseudonymous — a session identifier, never your name or your e-mail address. |
| Audit logs | 24 months in the database, then exported to a cold archive and deleted from the database. The archive itself has no deletion deadline. |
| Session tokens | 30 days: the session cookie expires on its own and no member token is kept on our servers. An administration session expires after 8 hours. |

Withdrawing your consent
Where processing relies on your consent — audience-measurement cookies and the retention of your conversation content — you may withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand. The settings are on the Cookies page; to have data already stored erased, use your right to erasure.
Complaint to the CNIL
If you consider that the processing of your personal data does not comply with the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In France this is the CNIL — Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés, 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07 — which receives complaints, including online at www.cnil.fr. If you live in another European Union country, you may contact your own national supervisory authority.
Automated processing
Two of the site’s safeguards operate without prior human intervention: an automatic filter analyses every chat message before publication and may prevent it from being posted; an anti-bot measure may temporarily block access to sign-up and sign-in from a network showing suspicious attempts. Machine recommendations, by contrast, are only suggestions: they decide nothing on your behalf. If one of these measures seems unjustified to you, write to us — a person will review the situation.
